Well Hi Everybody,
Today is April 8, 2008 and it’s Opening Day for YOUR NY Mets. It is also the final Opening Day for our beloved Shea Stadium.
Now, I VERY much look forward to the Opening of the Amazin and state of the art, Citifield. But, like most true Met Fans, I love Shea. I would have been happy in Shea for the rest of all time and I will miss the Big Horse shoe in Flushing Meadow. But time marches on. Oliver Perez, toes the rubber for the last Home Opener against The Philadelphia Phillies.
I first went to Opening Day to see Tom Seaver, then Darryl Strawberry, then Mike Piazza and Fonzie, Now it’s Jose Reyes and baseball jesus, David Wright…
Samantha experiences her first Opening Day and we are totally psyched…More After the Mets victory.
